This is a new office development which has had Swithland slate put on due to it being in a conservation area. Swithland is a natural slate which would only be used on certain types of property.
This was a slated re-roof, the existing welsh slates were stripped off to expose the roof underneath which was then re-felted and battened and then the existing slates were re-used.
This was a new development with Arcadia pan tiles on the main roof and below the porch has a Welsh slated roof with close mitred hips.
Here you can see a lead valley repair with new ridge tiles bedded on. The old lead valley has been replaced with new lead with slates cut to suit.
Here there is a garage conversion; old tiles were used so it looked the same as the existing house. The new dormer windows were then leaded.
These houses have Bradstone slate on them, this is a similar type of roofing as Swithland slating but the main difference being Bradstone slate is manmade where as Swithland slate is natural.
This property has had a re-roof, the tiles that were stripped off originally could not be used as they were perished and unsuitable so new concrete plain tiles were used as a replacement.
